The Trust operates through its resource centre in Manipal, ensuring the effective execution of programs focused on education, skill development, and sustainable practices. Over the past four decades, it has successfully led numerous projects aimed at enhancing economic opportunities and improving livelihoods. BVT has extensive infrastructure to support training, research, and development activities essential for rural empowerment. It offers well-structured training classrooms, a hygienic canteen, and specialised units for tailoring, agriculture, and horticulture. Additionally, it houses a Solar Innovation and Knowledge Hub, a library, and a documentation centre, providing resources for sustainable energy solutions and knowledge dissemination. The Trust collaborates with expert faculty and resource persons to drive impactful programs, fostering community development and self-sufficiency.

Through its Model Village initiative, it establishes development committees, facilitates livelihood training, and raises awareness on waste management, organic farming, and renewable energy. It conducts workshops on jasmine and mushroom cultivation, poultry farming, and compost production, enabling income generation. Additionally, it promotes farmer-producer organisations and distributes quality seeds for school kitchen gardens, contributing to mid-day meal programmes. It aims to develop its agricultural land into a model farm.
