Junior Red Cross
The Junior Red Cross is the student wing of the Red Cross, established within schools for students in standards 8–10. Rooted in the seven fundamental principles—Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality—it aims to instill these humanitarian values in youth. Through its programme, juniors promote national and international friendship and understanding, learn about International Humanitarian Law, and engage in activities to protect health and save lives. They also take part in community service campaigns, which help spread awareness and create positive societal impact.

Youth Red Cross
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) in Telangana engages students—from 11th grade to college—by training them as young volunteers dedicated to community service. Participants work under the guidance of teachers and state officials, promoting health and hygiene, organizing blood donation camps, first‑aid training, and disaster‑relief initiatives. This program empowers youth as active partners, not just beneficiaries, instilling humanitarian values, national integration, and civic responsibility. It fosters leadership and teamwork skills while encouraging respect for human life and service to the vulnerable. Telangana’s YRC thus nurtures compassionate, service‑oriented future citizens.
