Programs

  • Vrundavan Gaushala

Vrundavan Gaushala, established in 1965 at Ratanpur, focuses on sustainable animal husbandry and rural development. It aims to support surrounding villages by promoting dairying as a complementary vocation, enhancing cattle breeds—especially the indigenous Kankrej—and providing practical education in cow breeding. Beginning with ten cows from the Banny region, the gaushala has grown significantly, distributing over 128 cows to farmers and tribal communities. It played a pivotal role in improving milk production through selective breeding and the introduction of superior bulls, laying the foundation for long-term agricultural and economic development in the region.

  • Craft Education

The Craft Education (Agriculture) programme emphasizes Gandhiji’s philosophy of self-reliance and dignity of labour. At the Ratanpur Campus, 75 acres of land are dedicated to farming and animal husbandry, providing students with hands-on, life-oriented education. By integrating manual labour with learning, students cultivate values of self-confidence, equality, and social responsibility. This initiative not only enriches their practical knowledge but also fosters respect for rural livelihoods. Through this programme, education of the hand, head, and heart is achieved—empowering students to serve society with skill, compassion, and self-respect.
