SVATAH Pragya focuses on women’s financial capability, especially among Self-Help Groups (SHGs), NGOs and women from low-income urban and peri-urban communities. The program offers workshops where women learn to track income and expenses, build consistent savings habits, avoid predatory loans, navigate banking systems confidently, and stay safe in rapidly digitising financial environments.
Pragya goes beyond one-time workshops—it provides practical tools like expense diaries and budget trackers, and uses follow-up nudges to ensure that women translate learning into daily practice. By strengthening the financial agency of women, the program positively influences entire households’ economic stability.

SVATAH Shikshak, the organisation’s systemic intervention, builds the capacity of teachers to independently deliver financial literacy content in their schools. Through hands-on training, academic-year support, and simple-to-use classroom and assessment tools, Shikshak equips government school teachers to integrate financial literacy into their regular teaching practice. By collaborating with DIETs, district administrations, and education departments, SVATAH positions Shikshak as a scalable model that enables long-term adoption of financial literacy across entire geographies—even in schools where SVATAH facilitators are not present.
