Bihar
Works with the S.C & S.T., mushar community, which is situated in Bihar and is regarded as one of the region's poorest and most socially disadvantaged communities. Identify and address the barriers preventing children from exercising their right to an education. We collaborate with the community to develop solutions. The strategy used on the ground consists of:
Access to equitable and high-quality preschool, primary, and secondary education
Encouraging and enabling communities and parents to take action in support of children's access to education
Children's transition from preschool to main school
Educating stakeholders on the value of education
Ensuring schools comply with the Right to Education Act
Parents' awareness of the repercussions of child marriage
Gaining entry to secondary schools and preparing students for secondary school
Girls' safety and security in the community, secure entry to schools, and their attendance at such schools
Advocate for improved school monitoring -
Child Trafficking
One of Gram Sathi's top goals is child protection. The program addresses the aspects of "rescue," "restoration," and "rehabilitation" of the trafficked victims in addition to its prevention of concerns such as child trafficking in the intervention regions.
