IZAD is an idea of social change, founded on 22nd August, 2002. ‘IZAD” is an Urdu language word which means ‘Invention’. The organization seeks to end Read moreeavour relentlessly to lessen human pain and suffering and to foster development of weaker sections on sustained basis. The founder of the organization is backed by professional education of social work from Institutes of Social Service, Bihar and had dedicated 17 years in practicing and translating the theory into action. IZAD started over eleven years ago, in 2003, as a social organisation seeking to reach out to the most marginalised and vulnerable communities of the Indian subcontinent. Through the experience gained over the years and through constant evaluation, the organisation realised the need to change its approach. It thus moved from being a mere funding agency to a development organisation striving to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable and the backward through meaningful partnerships with grass root NGOs and communities. IZAD is registered under the Societies Registration Act & Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. IZAD is a woman headed organization, and the secretary of the organisation Ms. Akhtari Begum has been associated with Centre for World Solidarity in the year 2003. Since then her vision has been to work for women and children of the Dalit and minority community.
