The objective of the initiative is to establish essential services and strengthen the necessary structures for child protection in Kishanganj district, Bihar. This includes creating a continuum of services for emergency outreach, institutional care, family and community-based care, counseling, and support. The initiative aims to define and set standards for all services and operational manuals for statutory bodies. It has formed Block Level Child Protection Committees in seven blocks and Village Level Child Protection Committees in 126 villages, with representation from various stakeholders, to recommend and monitor the implementation of child protection services at both block and village levels.
