The organization is a registered non-profit organization established with the aim of enhancing the well-being, education, health, and welfare of child Read moreren and young women across India, irrespective of social, economic, or demographic backgrounds. BUDS was officially registered as an Indian Not for Profit Trust in 2003 (Registration No 11686/4 of 2003), with its headquarters situated in New Delhi. Vision: The organization envisions a society where every child and young woman is afforded their inherent rights, irrespective of their socio-economic status. Mission: BUDS is committed to the 3Ps approach: Preventing disease, Promoting access to healthcare, and Prompt treatment for marginalized communities. It also strives to promote the Right to Education for children and young women in resource-constrained environments and to prevent violence against them. Additionally, BUDS seeks to forge partnerships with governmental bodies, allied NGOs, media agencies, and civil society to foster awareness and bring about behavioral and attitudinal changes in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The ultimate goal is to ensure India's achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030.

Milestones & Track Record

Since 2003, BUDS has reached out to 87,634 children and youth, provided free health consultations and treatment to over 25,000 children, distributed 4,836 mid-day meals, and enrolled 10,602 students in education programs.
