Demographies Served

Programs

  • Environment

India's ambitious goal of achieving 50% decarbonized energy by 2030 faces challenges, particularly within MSMEs, which consume nearly a quarter of industrial energy, primarily from fossil fuels. FMC's program addresses these roadblocks by offering expertise in energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable practices. It promotes the development of circular economies and encourages the use of eco-friendly materials such as bamboo and recycled textiles. By bridging gaps in awareness, technology access, and green investments, FMC empowers MSMEs to contribute significantly to India's decarbonization journey while fostering sustainable growth.

  • Livelihood

FMC's livelihood programs empower India’s 7 million artisans and 3 million handloom weavers, crucial to rural craftsmanship and the country’s second-largest employment sector. Addressing challenges like market disconnect and lack of organization, FMC operates across 100+ clusters, fostering innovation, skill development, market access, and sustainable value chains. Simultaneously, FMC supports MSMEs, the backbone of India’s economy, contributing 45% of manufacturing output and exports while generating 110 million jobs. By promoting resource-efficient technologies, skill enhancement, and ecosystem strengthening, FMC ensures balanced growth and sustainability for artisans, farmers, and MSMEs.
