The Heart Care Foundation of India works to help people live a healthy and increase mass health awareness. The Foundation provides free OPD service Read mores on the Zoom platform, through this service it provides free medical consultations and follow-ups to over 1000 people everyday. The consultations are provided by qualified medical professionals and include Covid-19 specialists, Nutritionists and Psychologists among others. It is involved in providing oxygen concentrators to those people who are struggling with the problem of oxygen deficiency during covid times. As an annual initiative it conducts the “Perfect Health Mela” this programme aims to increase health awareness amongst people and involves heath based seminars, check-ups, health based entertainment programmes, lifestyle exhibitions, lectures, workshops and competitions. It also trains the participants in the technique of hands only CPR through its CPR 10 mantra for revival after a sudden cardiac arrest. In an effort to motivate research in healthcare the organisation has set up a Dr. K K Agarwal Research Fund. The Research Fund undertakes its own researches on health issues while it helps other facilities carrying out research in applied medicine and diseases. The Fund also provides fellowships, confers awards and certifications for path breaking research. To honour Article 21 of the Indian Constitution which guarantees Right to Life the Foundation has set up the Sameer Malik Health Care Fund to ensure that no one dies of heart problems due to lack of finances. It has tied up with eminent hospitals like Medanta and National Heart Institute for surgeries of the heart. It supports people from the marginalised communities especially the girl child to provide them free heart surgeries at the top hospitals. It has been awarded many National and State awards, has found mention in the Limca Book of Records and has commemorative stamps to its credit for its services in the healthcare sector. It has set up many awards itself to encourage good work in the healthcare area.
