A society's long-term sustenance hinges on its level of education. Education acts as the driving force behind positive social transformation and natio Read moren-building. Civilizations that neglect the importance of education risk decline and deterioration. Therefore, the Hindu civilization must develop a robust educational system to thrive and remain resilient. It should ensure that everyone within the society, irrespective of their socio-economic status, has access to quality education, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to broader societal objectives. Throughout history, the Hindu civilization has exhibited a remarkable commitment to education, evident in illustrious institutions like Taksha-shila and Nalanda universities. Even in contemporary times, institutions such as Banaras Hindu University, Madras Institute of Technology, and Birla Institute of Technology and Science have been established. However, despite these efforts, a substantial portion of society still lacks access to affordable and quality education, significantly impeding the overall progress of our nation. With a population of over a billion and constituting over 15% of the global populace, the Hindu civilization cannot solely rely on external resources for its educational needs. It is imperative to urgently cultivate a substantial number of internal institutions that offer superior education across various fields, encompassing natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, liberal and performing arts, law, business and management, ethics, religion, philosophy, and spiritual sciences. Moreover, the creation of numerous centres of educational excellence, setting benchmarks and fostering innovation across diverse knowledge domains, is essential. This move will enable the Hindu civilization to provide educational leadership globally. Failure to do so could render a civilization increasingly insecure and less confident, leading to perpetual underestimation and distortion of its perspectives. Establishing several institutions of excellence worldwide will address this anomaly by nurturing competent and confident Hindu leaders across various academic domains.
