  • Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

    Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the flagship programme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is designed to provide industry-relevant skill training to a substantial number of Indian youth. Its primary goal is to enhance their employability and prospects for a better livelihood. The scheme also encompasses Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), assessing and certifying individuals with existing skills or prior learning experiences. This initiative, launched by the Government of India, aims to empower 2.4 million Indian youth by equipping them with industry-relevant, skill-based training. Successful trainees receive financial rewards and government certifications, facilitating improved job opportunities and a brighter future.

  • National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM)

    The Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) or National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Scheme aims to provide IT training to 52.5 lakh individuals, encompassing Anganwadi and ASHA workers, as well as authorized ration dealers nationwide. The mission's objective is to empower non-IT literate citizens with digital skills, enabling active participation in democratic and developmental processes while enhancing their livelihoods. This initiative will be executed in two phases, with 10 lakh beneficiaries in the first phase, and 42.5 lakh individuals, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers, in the second phase.

  • Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana

    DDU-GKY targets rural youth aged 15 to 35 from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, aligning with Government initiatives such as Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities, and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India. A substantial 180 million, constituting 69% of India's 18 to 34-year-old youth, reside in rural areas, with 55 million facing unemployment or underemployment. DDU-GKY projects adopt a market-oriented, public-private partnership approach, collaborating with civil society organizations, educational institutions, and private entities. The curriculum complies with NCVT or SSC standards, facilitating industry partnerships for technology access and on-the-job training, which includes comprehensive soft skills, spoken English, and basic computer training at well-equipped campuses.

  • Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM)

    Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM) has been offering free skill development training to young individuals in both urban and rural areas across all 13 districts of the state. In response to the challenges of unemployment and the need for sustainable employment, the Hon'ble Chief Minister established UKSDM in February 2013 with the goal of training and employing 6.5 lakh youth. The mission aims to skill the unskilled, enhance the skills of existing workers, promote skill development initiatives, and create innovative strategies for large-scale employment, ultimately improving livelihoods through enhanced earning capacities.

    The REC Foundation, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, is committed to promoting skill development training for power distribution linemen in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, with a focus on providing employment opportunities for marginalized communities such as SC/ST/OBC, women, and EWS sections. Through an MOU with IIHERT, they have initiated a project to provide skill development training to 360 underprivileged youth from weaker sections of society. A baseline survey was conducted before commencing the project to identify eligible beneficiaries.
