On December 25, 1970, the late Mr. J. S. Sharma, who was blind, created Janta Adarsh Andh Vidyalaya. Janta Adarsh Andh Vidyalaya, or JAAV, is a school Read more for kids with visual impairments. The majority of these kids come from low-income homes that are unable to provide for their particular requirements. Assam, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, M.P., Rajasthan, U.P., Uttrakhand, Punjab, and West Bengal are among the states from which they are originally. The Vidyalaya can accommodate up to 140 students with vision impairments in the hostel. The Vidyalaya offers free food, medical care, clothing, boarding, and education. Following completion of the eighth grade, students attend the Govt. Senior Secondary School in Andrews Ganj for females and Lajpat Nagar for boys. Nonetheless, they continue to reside at Vidyalaya's hostel without any charges.
Action
The school admits visually impaired children of all age groups and provides comprehensive educational programs from 1st to 10th standard following the Delhi government syllabus.

Nonetheless, they are still residing at Vidyalaya's free hostel. Currently, forty boys and girls are enrolled in different government schools and universities.
