Katha Lab school
The Katha Lab School is a low-cost community school (accredited to National Institute of Open School NIOS) in the slums of Govindpuri, Delhi. It offers quality education, care, and skill-based training.
This school provides creche and pre-school facility, schooling up to class 12, special needs education, vocational training, IT and robotics.
This school has benefitted over 1 lakh beneficiaries with 100% retention and ensuring average attendance of 95%. Katha lab school students have 100% pass percentage in NIOS board exams for class X and XII.

Katha school of entrepreneurship
Provides 6 months and 12 months course in income-generating job training in sectors such as Bakery Confectionary & Food Processing, AC & Refrigeration repair and maintenance, IT and computer course including DTP and Web Design, Cutting tailoring and Dress Designing. These training sessions are conducted by industry experts and Katha alumni group.
The Courses offered in Delhi and Noida trains about 500 students annually. Over the years, it has trained over 35000 youth and women. As a result, students have secure dignified jobs and doubled their incomes.

Slum Resurgence Initiative
Provides skill-based training on finance, advocacy, leadership, and community-engagement skills for women, youth, and adolescent girls. It organizes the Mother’s association (Ma mandal) to train mothers to take on leadership roles. Relevant subjects such as water and sanitation, health and hygiene, financial literacy and digital literacy are covered in this workshop.

Teacher training
Enables the teacher to be the centre of community action. It works with schools to bring in creativity in teaching. Teachers are trained in Katha’s StoryPedagogy to transform reading into an enjoyable and enriching experience for the students and the teachers.

Katha School Quality Enhancement Program (KSQEP)
This is a government school adoption program implemented by Katha in partnership with Government and funding partner. The program was focused to transform and revitalize the quality of education at primary government schools. The intention was to ensure that government school children receive excellent education that is comparable to private schools.
Towards this effort, Katha has worked on the infrastructure of the schools to make them clean, hygienic, and safe spaces. The schools turn out to be inviting places for the children. This initiative has also greatly improved the facilities in government schools such as safe drinking water, clean toilets, clean playgrounds, CCTVs, well-stocked library, labs, and music rooms. As a result of these efforts, the enrolment of students increased by 300% in all intervening schools. The average attendance too increased to 80%. I love Reading
A reading and school transformation program that kindles the joy of learning in children. The intention of this program is to build an environment that attracts children towards reading. It works with the government to identify a dedicated space for reading in the schools. The reading room is then painted in attractive colors and and pictures from the story book. The room is then filled with age-appropriate books for junior school children. The school teachers are also trained to support the children to learn to read at grade level. This program has a presence in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. It has also set up e-ILR hubs to enhance digital learning.

Impact
The I love reading program runs in over 1000 schools with 4,00,000 children participation. Through this program over 6000 government school teachers have been trained. 99.99% of children improved their reading abilities 32.7% of the children attained grade-level reading Attendance improved to 95% As part of the slum resurgence initiative, trained more than 10 lakh women from 2000+slums, tribal, and rural communities More than 500 Ma Mandals trained to take up advocacy and community initiatives As part of teacher training, over 30,000 teachers trained with about 56 hours of training per teacher.
