Programs
-
Butterfly Programme
DistrictThe Butterfly - Child Welfare and Education programme, initiated by Lakshyam, aims to liberate underprivileged children from the chains of inequality and child labour. Through a comprehensive learning programme including both theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as personality development, Lakshyam endeavors to ensure that these children's human rights are protected. The primary focus lies in increasing school enrollment and reducing drop-out rates, especially for girls, with the firm belief that education holds the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and injustice faced by these vulnerable children.
-
Toy Library Programme
The Lakshyam Toy Library programme recognizes the significance of toys in fostering holistic child development. Children from slums, street dwellers, and remote villages often lack access to proper toys, resorting to makeshift ones created from everyday items. Toys play a crucial role in helping children explore and understand the world, nurturing their imagination and creativity skills. Through imaginative play and role-playing with friends, toys facilitate emotional connection and comfort during distress. Lakshyam aims to bridge this gap by providing a diverse range of toys, enriching the lives of these underprivileged children and offering them the joys of play and learning.
-
Rooh Programme
The Rooh - Awakening Women's Soul programme, initiated by Lakshyam, seeks to address the challenges faced by marginalized women in India. Many women endure a lack of control and freedom over their lives, struggling for equality and respect in society. A significant number of women in India, around 245 million, are unable to read or write, limiting their opportunities for personal growth and societal advancement. In response, Lakshyam has taken action to empower women by providing goal-oriented training sessions, fostering self-sustainability and positively impacting their lives. Through this programme, Lakshyam aims to create a transformative change and enhance the lives of women, enabling them to lead fulfilled and respectable lives.
