Madad Welfare Society is a national NGO based in Delhi, founded on July 14, 2006, and officially registered under the Societies Act, of 1860. Its services encompass various areas, including health, education, environment, legal aid, and human rights. These services are designed to benefit several groups, such as slum/J.J.cluster dwellers, underprivileged members of society, homeless street dwellers (particularly children), women, poor patients, disadvantaged students, people belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes and OBCs, as well as individuals facing economic hardship in general. Community Development & Poverty Alleviation Programme
StateMadad Welfare Society's "Gramya Vikas Chetana" initiative seeks to uplift rural communities by addressing their essential needs like education, health, sanitation, and environmental concerns. With an initial investment of Rs. 78,45,000, the programme focuses on five villages over 36 months. It aims to bridge the wealth gap and enhance the living standards of the rural poor through collaborative efforts with national and international agencies. By promoting low-cost technologies and interventions, the project aims to create self-reliant communities and improve their overall quality of life. The programme's objectives include integrated development, rural reconstruction, infrastructure improvement, and social and economic advancement.

Adult & Child Education Programme
StateThe Adult & Child Education programme aims to establish an Educational Complex with an estimated investment of Rs. 88,00,000. It targets primitive tribal group girls residing in low-literacy areas. The objectives encompass encouraging girl child enrolment, remedying literacy gaps, providing comprehensive welfare services, facilitating vocational training for economic independence, fostering holistic development, instilling values, raising awareness of the environment, and promoting sports and games. This initiative aligns with Governmental and non-governmental efforts to improve tribal girl literacy, with support from various ministries and international agencies.

Day Care Centre for the Aged
StateThe Madad Welfare Society plans to establish a day-care centre dedicated to individuals aged 60 and above, with an investment of Rs. 16.70 lakh, including an initial 6-month recurring grant. This initiative aims to promote the well-being of elderly citizens, regardless of their caste or creed, while raising awareness of elderly issues within society. The Day-care Centre will offer activities such as recreation, healthcare, nutrition, and income generation. Priority will be given to those living below the poverty line, ensuring inclusivity in its services.

HIV Awareness & Prevention Programme
StateMadad Welfare Society aims to establish a "Rehabilitation cum Vocational Training Centre" for commercial sex workers, with an initial capital investment of Rs. 26,00,000. This project is geared towards educating sex workers about HIV/AIDS, discouraging their involvement in the profession, and reintegrating them into respectable, income-generating activities through vocational training. Given India's significant HIV-infected population, primarily among young and reproductive age groups, the project seeks to raise awareness and prevent the spread of HIV. Commercial sex workers, who often serve vulnerable populations, are identified as a key target group. The programme's objectives include reorienting attitudes, offering opportunities for alternative income generation, improving literacy, providing institutional support, and fostering community responsibility in HIV prevention.

Disaster Response Programme
StateMadad Welfare Society aims to establish a "Relief cum Trauma Care Centre" for disaster victims, with an estimated investment of Rs. 13 lakhs, including a 12-month recurring grant. This initiative seeks to build bridges among fractured communities, support survivors, advocate Government responsibility for safety and rehabilitation, collaborate with NGOs and social partners for rescue operations, promote inter-religious understanding, provide counselling and trauma care, suggest rehabilitation solutions, and advocate for disaster victims' rights. It also emphasizes disease prevention, resource mobilization, and various interventions, including disaster forecasting, prevention, and reconstruction. The target group encompasses all disaster victims regardless of their religion, caste, or creed.
