Since 1982, every endeavor undertaken by Muskaan has been driven by the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and their families. R Read moreecognizing that those with disabilities, particularly ID, often endure lives marked by impoverishment and neglect due to society's narrow perception, we are committed to addressing these challenges. Our projects aim to provide holistic support, fostering respect and dignity in the lives of those we serve: * Comprehensive training programs promoting holistic development and vocational training * Employment services facilitating integration into the workforce * Assistive living programs ensuring safe and dignified living for senior adults with ID, particularly after the passing of their parents * Family support services offering vital assistance and guidance * Advocacy and awareness initiatives championing the human rights of individuals with ID * Each project has been meticulously crafted through continual evaluation and innovation, focusing on empowering individuals with ID by nurturing their capabilities and instilling confidence in their learning potential, despite intellectual limitations.

Vision: A society which recognizes human diversity and respects the rights of all people irrespective of levels of abilities. Mission: To create opportunities for capacity development of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families, advocate for their rights, and promote an inclusive society.

Muskaan has received several awards including the National Award by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in 2006, Best Parents Association award by the National Trust in 2011, and the NCPEDP Helen Keller award for creating employment opportunities in 2011.
