In areas where the majority of the population resides in slums with limited or no income, access to healthcare is severely lacking, leading to dire consequences, particularly for pregnant women and infants. Non-governmental organizations like PSF play a crucial role in bridging this gap by providing essential medical services and supporting surgeries for children born with congenital heart defects, a prevalent issue exacerbated by poor environmental factors and inadequate prenatal care. PSF's initiatives aim to address the financial barriers faced by families, ensuring access to life-saving treatments and post-operative care, thus significantly impacting the survival and well-being of affected children. Since its inception in August 2011, PSF has successfully supported numerous heart surgeries, collaborating with both government hospitals and private institutions to fulfill its mission.

RAY of HOPE to STOMA Patients

Delhi
In a world where healthcare inequalities are pervasive, particularly for marginalized communities, the role of PSF becomes crucial in bridging the gap. In Delhi, a health initiative “RAY OF HOPE” is launched by PSF to bring significant impact by providing essential medical supplies and support to children suffering from stoma—a surgical opening in the abdomen that allows for the expulsion of bodily waste. This health condition, often resulting from congenital disabilities, severe infections, or accidents, places immense physical and psychological burdens on affected children and their families.
PSF’s mission is simple yet profound: The organization ensures that families are not only equipped with quality medical supplies but also receive education on stoma management. Essential supplies such as ostomy bags, cleaning materials, and skin care products are distributed regularly, thereby alleviating the financial burden on struggling families.

OUR PATH TO PROGRESS

PSF Scholarship Programs OUR PATH TO PROGRESS aimed to help underprivileged children obtain quality education. While public schools can also offer quality education, they may sometimes struggle with overcrowded classrooms, insufficient resources, or outdated curricula. Private schools, on the other hand, often provide a more conducive learning environment, smaller class sizes, and innovative teaching methods. By granting scholarships for private education, NGOs ensure that children receive the high standard of learning they deserve, significantly enhancing their educational experience.
Attending a private school opens up a network of opportunities. These institutions often offer internships, mentorships, and connections that can be invaluable for their career. For many children from low-income families, this network can be lifechanging. Currently, 130 children are getting the benefits of PSF scholarship program at a private school in Gurugram Haryana.
