  • Since

    1992

A group of diligent technocrats, educators, scientists, and bureaucrats came up with the idea of REACHA because they believed that the public needed t Read moreo be empowered with information, skills, and the will to make positive changes in their own lives. They felt that an institution that could "reach out" to the masses was needed. Many of these people had strong feelings about government programs that were intended for specific target groups but were not reaching them. They believed that for these programs to have an impact on the ground, volunteers needed to act as the "bridge." It started to make it easier for numerous government initiatives to be carried out successfully, mostly in the areas of education, health and family welfare, rural development, and agriculture. In keeping with its "mission and philosophy," REACHA developed its own programs and delivery strategies throughout time, taking into account regional requirements, traditions, and customs. A significant number of these modules underwent extensive field testing over many years before being integrated into the organization's primary "people-centric" development portfolio. As REACHA's efforts continued, it formed significant alliances with numerous corporations, organisations, and institutions that shared its values.

Programs

  • Drug De Addiction

The Indian Army's Operation Sadbhavana is a unique effort to engage Kashmiri youth constructively and steer them away from drug use, stone-throwing, and anti-national actions. This is being accomplished at the Chinar 9Jawan Club and Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDCB) in Baramulla, Kashmir, through education, skill development, healthcare, and sporting events. Through programs including Hospitality & Retail, Fashion Designing, Art & Culture, and Drug De-Addiction Centre, Baramulla, REACHA is the implementing partner to achieve the desired results at Chinar 9Jawan Club.

  • Kojo for Education & Livelihood

REACHA has been working hard over the past few years to teach kids throughout India how to use Kojo Learning Environment (Kojo) to learn 21st-century skills, including coding, to support education, skill development, and community development in underprivileged areas.

The world is changing quickly thanks to technologies like big data and artificial intelligence, and students must acquire "future-proof" fundamental skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, learning how to learn, multidisciplinary thinking, computational thinking, and more. Students who regularly code in an environment such as Kojo can accomplish all of these goals.
