Trained therapists and medical experts work diligently to improve the child's development and promote independence. Over 2670 children with special needs have been successfully rehabilitated through this programme. It aims to enhance the child's developmental progress, provide support to the family, and maximize the child and family's contributions to society. The programme utilizes early intervention techniques to leverage the child's strengths and empower parents to meet their child's specific needs. Sarthak's Inclusive Education project aimed to enhance the education of children with disabilities in inclusive settings. Through screening and identification studies in 10 Government Schools, 250 students with disabilities were identified, emphasizing the lack of inclusion in classrooms and extracurricular activities. Sensitization workshops were conducted with stakeholders, leading to the establishment of the Sarthak Resource Centre in Nangloi, West Delhi. The centre provided remedial classes, medical and psychosocial support, as well as IT and pre-vocational training to 425 children with special needs.

  • Vocational Training Programme

Sarthak Educational Trust provides various programmes to empower individuals with disabilities. Sarthak JEET focuses on vocational skill building and sustainable employment opportunities for youth aged 18-35. The Digital Literacy Programme bridges the technological gap, offering intensive training in areas like Government schemes, small business establishment, and digital literacy. Sarthak also supports entrepreneurship training, equipping individuals with tools for successful business ventures. Additionally, it offers VI Training, specifically catering to visually impaired candidates, enhancing their technical skills and computer literacy using specialized software. These initiatives aim to empower individuals with disabilities, fostering independence, confidence, and economic stability.

  • Sarthak Sustainable Employment Program

Sarthak's Sustainable Employment Plan focuses on providing inclusive and equitable employment opportunities for youth with disabilities. It collaborates with over 1000 hiring partners, organising job fairs and interviews to place candidates. Through networking, advocacy events, and sensitization workshops, Sarthak engages new corporate partners in promoting diversity and inclusion. Post-placement follow-up is conducted to ensure long-term sustainability. Sarthak employs strategies such as job mapping, candidate matching, recruitment with accessible processes, disability sensitization workshops, campus connections, job fairs, and walk-in interviews. It also offers additional services like accessibility support, secondary training for career advancement, and rehabilitation of disabled workers. These efforts aim to empower individuals with disabilities and foster a more inclusive work environment.

  • Sarthak Advocacy Programme

Advocacy is a key focus of Sarthak, aiming to promote equality and dignity for persons with disabilities and their families. Through a holistic approach, Sarthak provides medical rehabilitation, inclusive education, skill development training, sustainable employment, and advocacy initiatives. Mobilization and awareness workshops are conducted to foster sensitivity, inclusivity, and a comprehensive understanding of disabilities among anganwadi workers. Sarthak's advocacy efforts extend to working with the Government to promote inclusive plans, engaging corporates to create accessible job profiles and conducting orientation sessions for non-disabled employees. Media involvement aids in raising awareness and countering stigma, while advocacy with academic institutions disseminates disability information and fosters sensitivity through workshops.
