The Social Education & Liberty Foundation (SELF) functions as a local non-profit, non-governmental organisation in India. Its primary goal is to offer Read more educational and healthcare services to marginalized communities, such as underprivileged children, women, senior citizens, disabled individuals, adults, and school dropouts. Its main focus is ensuring equal opportunities for those facing financial and physical challenges. SELF is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that promotes skill development, boosts productivity, and facilitates professional employment. The vision closely aligns with India's national skill development mission and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), emphasizing the elevation of skills to international standards. It actively promotes private sector involvement through public-private partnerships, playing a pivotal role in effectively addressing skill gaps. SELF aims to make a significant contribution to India's goal of upskilling 500 million individuals by 2022, particularly by supporting private sector-led skill development initiatives. Over time, SELF's programmes have expanded to encompass various services, including healthcare, nutritional support, vocational training, daycare, and informal education for disadvantaged children in Delhi and nearby areas. SELF maintains a strong commitment to empowering young girls, children, and women through education, skill development, and physical education, enabling them to become valuable contributors to their communities and the progress of their respective states.
