  • Since

    2003

For the past 20 years, Sshrishti has been working to Educate, Empower, and Equalize underprivileged communities by providing quality foundational lear Read morening, technology-enhanced education, and digital literacy to bridge both the educational and digital divide. Our beneficiaries include millions of children and youth in remote rural areas who lack access to digital skills, leaving them disconnected from the networked 21st-century world. To address this, Sshrishti offers coaching in STEM subjects and digital skills, equipping them for employment in the evolving economy. To Educate children and improve learning outcomes in government schools, we provide technology-enabled learning opportunities to those living in slum settlements across Delhi and the NCR and in remote rural communities.. After building a strong educational foundation, these children are mainstreamed into government schools to continue their academic journey. To Empower marginalized communities, our team actively engages with them to assess critical needs and ensure that no child is left out of the education system. Along with children and youth, Sshrishti also works to Empower and Equalize women in rural communities. We provide digital and financial literacy training, enabling them to achieve economic self-sufficiency and lead a life of dignity.

Issue

The underprivileged in India face a lack of education and employable skills, leading to inequity in all aspects of life. Due to poverty and systemic inequality, women and children often struggle to realize their dreams and reach their full potential. According to ASER reports, children in government schools across the country suffer from poor learning outcomes. Unable to cope with the curriculum in higher classes, many drop out and are forced into the informal labor force. This issue arises from the lack of strong foundational learning during their critical developmental years. Similarly, youth without digital skills remain excluded from the digital economy, limiting their opportunities and aspirations. For rural women, the absence of financial and digital literacy puts them at a disadvantage, restricting their ability to manage finances and access digital financial services that could improve their economic independence.

Action

Sshrishti is committed to providing quality education to the poor and underserved, working towards equality and holistic development by bridging critical developmental gaps in both urban and rural India. Our key initiatives include: Foundational literacy and numeracy programs through Sshrishti’s centers in urban slums of Delhi and NCR. Computer literacy training for children and youth in various rural areas of North India. IT-based skill training to enhance employability in several districts of Uttarakhand.
