When disaster strikes it usually causes a lot of damage to homes and community infrastructure. SEEDS initiates rehabilitation by rebuilding these structures through the use of the latest techniques so that they are not only restored but are able to withstand future calamities also. It includes the use of environmentally friendly and locally obtained materials to keep the programme sustainable.

The programme additionally imparts training to construction workers on safe construction practices. School safety and community preparedness are also part of training efforts along with awareness of safe water, sanitation and hygiene. SEEDS also partners with Government agencies to include reconstruction planning in their processes.
