TARA (Trade Alternative Reform Action) Projects commenced its modest journey in the early 1970s with the primary objective of creating economic opport Read moreunities for disadvantaged artisans and craftsmen in the unorganised home-based sector in and around Delhi. With increasing success, it extended its socio-economic and trade reform efforts to encompass the neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan in Northern India. • Livelihood Programmes

Livelihood generation stands as a central pillar of Tara's activities, directly and indirectly benefiting over 1,000 artisan families through Fair Trade practices. Tara supports artisans in developing their workshops. Women empowerment is a key objective, addressing gender disparities through campaigns, skill development, self-help groups, and credit support to initiate livelihood activities.

The organisation is resolute in preserving the environment and promoting eco-friendly workplaces while conserving energy.
