The Help Charitable Trust, an NGO based in Delhi, focuses on activities aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged children in the city's slums. Read moreIt provides quality education to empower these children and make them self-reliant contributors to the nation. In addition to education, the organisation addresses the pressing issue of child malnutrition in the slums. It actively engages in environmental conservation by planting trees during the monsoon season and advocating for the reduction of single-use plastics, promoting the use of eco-friendly alternatives. The NGO's initiatives extend to preventing child sexual abuse, organising health and blood donation camps, and distributing warm clothing and blankets to those in need during the winter season. Help Charitable Trust aims to expand its projects into various other domains. Founded in 2014 by Mr. Jinender Jain, a former figure in the entertainment industry and vice president of reputable BPOs, the NGO's inception was inspired by a poignant encounter. Witnessing a young girl begging at a traffic light with his family profoundly impacted him. This experience prompted Mr. Jain to leave his job and take the first step towards charity. He began by providing free education and mid-day meals to children in a small Nangloi slum near the railway tracks. He established "Hamari Pathshala," a school constructed in temporary huts. Over time, the organisation has expanded its reach to address issues like child sexual abuse prevention, girl child welfare, and contributing to the Swachh Bharat Mission, striving to create a healthy and secure environment for society.
