  • Early Intervention Programme

    Early intervention is a crucial component of the services offered by the Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre (FSHC). Its comprehensive approach includes various vital services such as audiometry, new-born hearing screening, ear mold lab facilities, and hearing aid fittings. FSHC goes beyond addressing hearing impairments by providing auditory training, speech therapy, and counselling for children and their parents. It also offers parent-infant training and provides family quarters for parents with young children, ensuring that the entire family is involved in the journey towards improved hearing and communication for their loved ones.

    The educational initiatives at Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre (FSHC) encompass a broad spectrum of programmes aimed at inclusive learning and skill development. These include a preschool segment, integrated and inclusive education, specialized ICT courses, and coaching classes for B.A students. The institution offers a special school from nursery to class XII for speech and hearing-impaired students, providing a comprehensive residential and day schooling environment. Supporting 165 students in a specialized school for the deaf, integrating 45 into mainstream education, and empowering deaf individuals as instructors, FSHC's vocational training unit has rehabilitated hearing-impaired and orthopedically handicapped individuals.
