Through collaborations with NABARD and SIDBI, it has facilitated the formation of around 300 Joint Liability Programmes in five districts of the state. These initiatives encourage the utilization of unused land for economic stability and encompass both short-term crops like Rabi and Kharif crops and long-term crops such as tea, rubber, black pepper, and large cardamom. In the Kiphire district, NCHD&IT has played a pivotal role in supporting cardamom cultivation, providing training and technical guidance to farmers, and even setting up a cardamom drying machine for local villages, contributing to the success of this effort.
