Gram-Utthan is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to the holistic development of marginalized communities across India.   • Jaljeevika – Each Drop of Water Adding Value to Livelihoods

    The Jaljeevika program by GU fosters community-led solutions for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). It aims to empower underserved communities to actively participate in designing and constructing their own water systems and toilets. The initiative promotes sustainable practices through awareness campaigns, credit facilities, technical assistance, and exposure visits to Water.org’s partner organizations. With a strong focus on transparency and community mobilization, the program includes baseline studies, marketing of WATSAN products, monitoring, evaluation, and governance to ensure lasting impact on livelihoods and public health.

  • Empowering Youth Through Vocational Skill Training

    Gram-Utthan launched a vocational skill training initiative aimed at empowering poverty-stricken, unemployed youth for self-reliance. As an NSDC-affiliated training provider, Gram-Utthan delivers skill-based education aligned with the National Occupational Standards. Operating across the coastal districts of Kendrapada, Bhadrak, and Jajpur in Odisha, the program offers training in diverse sectors including agriculture, automotive, telecom, electrical, construction, textiles, and IT-ITES. This initiative equips participants with employable skills, enabling them to secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
