In the current context, the Navi Udan Sewa Society is addressing health-related issues, focusing on hygiene and nutrition. Despite the availability of basic amenities, many individuals in grassroots communities lack awareness and practice improper hygiene, leading to recurring typhoid outbreaks. The organisation's mission is to instill the importance of home hygiene practices without increasing family expenses, emphasizing a comprehensive approach.
Furthermore, it is disturbed by the prevalence of unhealthy, high-cholesterol, and high-sugar diets in rural areas, where unhealthy eating habits are sometimes considered fashionable. To combat this issue, Navi Udan plans to conduct awareness camps and promote healthier food choices, encouraging alternative cooking methods while reducing the use of fatty oils and sugar.

Legal Assistance Programme
District
Patiala
States
Punjab
Navi Udan Sewa Society focuses on addressing the challenges within the Indian legal system, which is under considerable strain. While the Government has made efforts to improve the situation, there is a significant need for ground-level action. Despite constitutional guarantees, many individuals lack the knowledge and means to assert their civil rights. While the media highlights injustices, the personal struggles of those feeling vulnerable within the legal system often go unnoticed. Providing free legal advice through Government bodies is an option for those who can't afford legal expenses, but these resources may not always deliver the quality needed.
Navi Udan aims to fill the gap and assist those who often remain underserved. It considers its project a success if even one person can find relief and freedom through its efforts.

Navi Udan Sewa Society values the universal language of music, considering it a gateway to meditation and inner peace. It offers music education for people from diverse backgrounds, particularly popular among village women, providing a refreshing break from routine life. Participants pay nominal fees, and the group supports those who can't afford them. The organisation believes in the transformative power of music, stimulating neurological cells and awakening uncharted realms of freedom.

Navi Udan Sewa Society recognizes the vital role of women's economic empowerment in achieving gender equality. Research highlights persisting inequalities in the division of paid and unpaid work, women's roles as caregivers, and limited access to resources. By empowering women economically, healthier and better-educated families can be nurtured. Navi Udan's mission is to facilitate this transformation by launching income-generating activities for village women. It has initiated a certificate course in Stitching and Tailoring in partnership with Usha Sewing School, aiming to provide additional income opportunities for both women and their families.
