MLAS works to strengthen and extend traditional knowledge of bamboo crafts and nettle fiber, engage youth in cultural preservation, and promote sustainable ecotourism in the Dzongu region.
Impact
The organization has helped establish Dzongu as an ecotourism destination, supported local livelihoods through handicraft promotion, and contributed to the recognition of Khangchendzonga National Park as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Milestones & Track Record
MLAS has successfully advocated for the declaration of Tungkyong Lake as Sikkim's first Biodiversity Heritage Site and helped establish a Biodiversity Management Committee in Hee-Gyathang village.
