Harvest Innovations involves the promotion of Sikkim's organic products through the Sikkim Organic outlet located in South Delhi's Greater Kailash – I, established in September 2010 with support from the Government of Sikkim. The Sikkim State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. (SIMFED) regularly sends local vegetables and other products from various local cooperatives, NGOs, Temi Tea, and GFPF to the Sikkim Organic outlet. These products are then distributed to multiple markets and outlets in Delhi. The initiative benefits from the willingness of consumers to purchase organic goods and pay a premium for them. The strategic location of the outlet, equipped with cold storage facilities for perishable produce, coupled with sufficient manpower for daily operations and maintenance, further supports the success of the venture.
