The Vision of Resource Foundation is rooted in the liberation of underprivileged individuals, consideration for disadvantaged communities, and recogni Read moretion of deserving individuals and groups. Our mission is to amplify the voices of the voiceless and empower socially marginalized groups who lack political influence. Our focus lies in reaching unreached rural communities that constantly require support to meet their daily needs. At its core, our foundation prioritizes access to education, environmental enhancement, and elevating social status on a national scale. We strive to provide educational support to individuals and school communities, conducting medical camps to address eye care needs among rural populations who cannot afford private healthcare services. Environmental sustainability is pivotal to our efforts; we actively plant trees across targeted areas to promote eco-friendly living among our beneficiaries. Furthermore, we empower impoverished women through income-generating activities, offering training and necessary resources to foster economic independence. To stimulate economic growth, we organize employment generation camps aimed at preparing youth for the job market in private sectors. Our commitment extends to raising awareness about government welfare schemes through various initiatives, including school visits and engaging activities under the "Our school, our development" and Green Villages movements. Looking ahead, we are eager to embark on a significant tree plantation initiative, further reinforcing our dedication to environmental stewardship and community development.
Issue
To address the challenges of educational stagnation and dropout rates at primary and upper primary levels, our organization places significant emphasis on supporting school dropout children. Recognizing the risks associated with home deliveries, particularly in underserved communities, we have actively participated in government initiatives to provide emergency ambulance services in our area. This initiative aims to ensure safe and timely transportation of patients, particularly pregnant women, to healthcare facilities for institutional deliveries. Understanding the economic anxieties faced by housewives in rural areas, we secured financial assistance from ONGC Niravy. This support enabled us to empower 120 rural women by providing them with training in tailoring skills. This initiative not only enhances their earning potential but also contributes to their economic independence and empowerment within their communities. These efforts underscore our commitment to addressing critical social issues, promoting safety in healthcare practices, and empowering vulnerable populations through strategic partnerships and targeted interventions.
Action
Our organization has actively engaged with state and central government departments and ministries to implement impactful initiatives. One of our notable efforts was through the "Education for All" movement, jointly sponsored by both levels of government. In 2006, we organized residential camps in Bhuvanagiri block, Cuddalore district, specifically targeting 50 children from SC/ST/MBC communities who had dropped out of school. Through these camps, we successfully mainstreamed these children back into regular schools, ensuring they had access to continuous education. Under the Tamil Nadu Health System project, we operated an Emergency Ambulance service in Kammapuram block, Cuddalore District from 2007 to 2008. This initiative facilitated the safe transportation of 260 patients, predominantly pregnant mothers, to healthcare facilities for institutional deliveries, thereby contributing to maternal and child health in the region. Additionally, we have made significant strides in skill development through partnerships with corporate social responsibility initiatives. With support from ONGC Niravy, Karaikal, we provided tailoring skills training to 120 rural young women between 2005 and 2007. This training not only equipped these women with valuable vocational skills but also empowered them to start small-scale and collective enterprises, fostering economic independence within their communities. These initiatives underscore our commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships and resources to address critical social challenges, empower marginalized populations, and promote sustainable development in our areas of operation.

Impact
Over the past 24 years, our organization has diligently fostered awareness on education within rural poor communities. Through our initiatives, approximately 1,000 children have received financial support both individually and collectively through school communities. A significant environmental achievement includes the planting of over 100,000 trees on private lands belonging to small farmers. This project has established a sustainable income source in 10 selected villages of Bhuvanagiri block, Cuddalore district. Implemented jointly with the Tamil Nadu Government and Japan International Cooperation Agency from 2012 to 2017, it stands as a testament to effective international cooperation in community development. Our commitment to healthcare extends to conducting free medical eye camps, benefitting nearly 300 disadvantaged women and men. Resource Foundation remains unique in its collaboration with the Puducherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry, in providing vision correction services, underscoring our dedication to improving health outcomes in underserved communities. These accomplishments reflect our steadfast commitment to promoting education, sustainable livelihoods, and healthcare access, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Conducting Multi Number of Awareness Camps on Government Welfare Schemes
In order to enhance awareness and understanding of the welfare schemes provided by state and central governments among rural communities, our organization conducts comprehensive awareness campaigns and distributes informative leaflets. These efforts are specifically targeted at the Keerapalayam and Srimushnam blocks in Cuddalore District, as well as the Andimadam block in Ariyalur District.
Each program attracts participation from approximately 35 to 50 community members. During these sessions, we provide detailed explanations about the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and benefits associated with various government welfare schemes. Our aim is to empower the general public with the knowledge and resources necessary to access and utilize these crucial social support initiatives effectively.
Through these initiatives, we seek to bridge the information gap, promote informed decision-making, and ensure that rural communities can fully benefit from the support available
