The organization works to educate children, empower women, rescue and rehabilitate bonded laborer women, and address social injustices faced by the marginalised Dalit Arunthathiyar community.
Impact
Rural Women Development Trust has rescued and rehabilitated over 1850 women families from bonded labor, provided quality education and nutrition support to over 2500 children, supported over 4000 women workers to get social security entitlements, and given livelihood skill trainings to over 1500 women and youths.
Vision & Mission
The organization envisions a society where deprived people, including Dalits, are empowered to enjoy their rights and socio-economic status on par with mainstream communities. Its mission is to rescue and rehabilitate Dalit families from bonded labor, stand up against social injustice, train women with sustainable vocational skills, and help them attain economic independence, access to quality education, and healthcare facilities.
