    SASTRA has supported research at all levels in both basic and applied disciplines since its founding. Research results are evident because of the cutting-edge facilities, skilled faculty, possibilities for networking with research teams in India and beyond, advanced training, and assistance in the form of seed funds and research staff. With an h-index of 84, this is represented in 9,540 articles and 72,943 citations. Additionally, out of the 52 patents filed, 7 have been approved. With funding from both public and private organisations, SASTRA has effectively finished 249 research projects totalling Rs 8,325 million and is currently working on 147 research projects totalling Rs 9,284 lakh. Due to the high calibre of research conducted there, SASTRA has expanded its global reach by attracting bilateral funding and foreign collaborators.
