    The Child Right Protection Centre is working for the rehabilitation of the runaway and trafficked children in and around Salem. We have three street contact centers in the new bus stand, Kichipalayam and another is in Chinnamapalayam and efforts have taken to establish another street contact Centre in the old bus stand. Through these street contact centers nearly 9850 children have been rescued and rehabilitated.

    Transformation of the society is not possible by single handed effort. We need a movement of people to support and carry forward the transformation. In a same way to establish a child friendly society we need people who can extend their support to protect the basic rights of children. Thus, with this motive in mind Caring Community Groups are formed to support the works of Anbu Illam. The members of caring community groups’ are identified from various groups like Auto Drivers, Scavengers, Transport Staff, Porters, Vendors, Shop Owners, Corporation Staff, Police, and Railway Police Force (RPF), etc, to promote and to protect child rights and to support in the process of rehabilitation of street and working children. Each caring community group consist of 10 to 15 members and they meet on a monthly basis to discuss the issues that are really concern about the children and their welfare.

    Vocational Guidance is an important and very urgent need of Youth today. Many of the youngsters are very well educated and well qualified, but they find difficult to find the right job. In order to realize the felt need of the context, a centre for career guidance, training and job placement was established under the umbrella of ‘Don Bosco Vazhikaatti’ to create an awareness among the urban & rural youth about the available job opportunities in the government and private sectors, through self-employment schemes and career oriented services.

Children rescued 53,698+: DBAI has been successful in rescuing numerous children from hazardous situations, such as child labour, trafficking, and other forms of exploitation. These efforts have helped protect vulnerable children and provide them with a safe environment to grow and thrive. 2. Children integrated into family 52,298+: Our organization works tirelessly to reunite rescued children with their families, whenever possible. We believe in the importance of family support and nurturing relationships for the holistic development of children. 3. Institutional care given 3500+: In cases where family reunification is not possible, DBAI provides institutional care to ensure the well-being and safety of the children. Our facilities offer a supportive environment that promotes their emotional, physical, and intellectual development. 4. Women empowered 11,458+: Through vocational training, entrepreneurship opportunities, and access to healthcare and education, we have enabled women to improve their lives and those of their families. 5. Households accessing welfare schemes 14,248+: We assist families in accessing government welfare schemes and other available resources, ensuring they receive the support they need to overcome poverty and improve their quality of life. 6. Training programs 1,35,640: DBAI offers various training programs to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in today's world. These programs include vocational training, life skills development, and education in various fields. 7. Awareness programs: Our organization conducts awareness programs to educate communities on important issues such as child rights, gender equality, environmental conservation, and health. By raising awareness, we empower communities to take action and bring about positive change. 8. Dropout children educated 2480+: DBAI has been successful in providing education and support to children who have dropped out of school. By offering tailored educational programs and addressing the underlying reasons for dropout, we help these children to reintegrate into the education system and achieve their potential. 9. Number of trees planted 3,109+: Recognizing the importance of environmental conservation, our organisation has undertaken tree planting initiatives. These efforts not only contribute to a greener environment but also raise awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship within the communities we serve.
