    The Therapeutic Enrichment Activity Hall, known as the TEACH auditorium, is a versatile venue meticulously designed to accommodate a wide range of cultural events, seminars, theatrical performances, music concerts, and more. Situated in a central area of South Chennai, this cultural hub offers a self-contained hall with ample parking facilities. The ground floor provides an air-conditioned seating area for up to 250 individuals indoors. Meanwhile, the first floor boasts an open-air auditorium featuring a sturdy tensile roof, capable of accommodating 500 attendees, providing a diverse and adaptable space for various activities.

    Since 2018, an annual collaboration has taken place between Seva in Action, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, and the Quizabled programme. This initiative is dedicated to children and young individuals with disabilities, encompassing five distinct categories: intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, and hearing impairments. Quizabled serves as a platform for the differently abled, uniting 489 students from 12 districts in Tamil Nadu. Its primary objective is to foster awareness by dispelling misconceptions surrounding specially-abled children.

    Nestled in an easily accessible neighbourhood, the Villivakkam Centre generously caters to children emanating from economically underprivileged backgrounds. This centre prioritizes the care and assistance of children afflicted with Cerebral Palsy and extends a wide-ranging array of early intervention services. This encompassing support encompasses specialized education, and various therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, and sensory integration therapy. Furthermore, the centre also provides integrated support services to ensure comprehensive care. Impressively, the Villivakkam Centre's compassionate outreach touches the lives of more than 121 children, offering them much-needed aid and hope for a brighter future.

    In partnership with Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., our Vocational Skill Training Centre caters to young individuals with special needs. This programme empowers them by imparting valuable skills like block printing, weaving, tailoring, and baking. Additionally, students receive training suitable for employment in the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors. Operating with a 'person-centred' approach, it facilitates their integration into society through pre-vocational training. The primary aim is to equip students with skills that enable them to work in sheltered workshops, producing goods and services based on their unique competencies, thus bridging the transition from school to work. So far, this initiative has positively impacted 50 differently-abled youths.

This convenient lodging service facilitates the stay of those seeking assistance or educational opportunities at the centre, ensuring a comfortable and accessible experience. Additionally, it contributes to the centre's mission of supporting differently-abled youth, as mentioned by the impact number of 50 individuals trained.

  • Human Resource Development Centre

    The Human Resource Development Centre stands as a distinguished institution specializing in the training of special educators, duly acknowledged by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Since 2011, it has been instrumental in addressing the critical shortage of qualified special education instructors. The Centre offers two RCI-recognized courses, catering to Montessori training and special education. Remarkably, the HRDC has contributed to the creation of a significant cohort of over 100 proficient teachers, furthering its mission to bolster the field of special education.

SPASTN has made a significant impact by serving 40,568 disabled individuals and children, benefiting 283,000 secondary beneficiaries, screening 125,018 newborns, supporting 871 young adults, transitioning 15,755 children into mainstream schools, educating 739,120 children under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan programme, providing Covid support to 1,350 families, and placing 871 youth in School to Work placement programmes.
