Gammat Shala Programme
Dnyana Devi's Gammat Shala programme addresses the critical needs of underprivileged children, offering a holistic approach to their development. Through a tested and replicable Non-Formal Education (NFE) model, it aims to nurture healthy, informed, and skilled adults with strong values. Since its inception in 1983, the programme has expanded to 11 urban and rural centres, achieving significant results such as 100% control of school dropout rates, juvenile delinquency, and child labour. It fosters gender sensitivity, reduces aggression, and cultivates youth leadership for positive community development. The model's success extends beyond education, serving as a platform for school improvement, de-addiction efforts, and rehabilitation of juvenile offenders. Evaluated positively by international agencies, it stands as a beacon of effective and sustainable community intervention.

Focusing on adult literacy, vocational training, reproductive health, and delinquency prevention, among others, it caters to different groups within the community, including women, parents, local leaders, and youth. The programme, centred around the Gammat Shala, translates educational messages into sustainable behavioural change, with a particular emphasis on need-based development.
