The inception of Vyasan Mukt Jeevan, the de-addiction centre, on September 15th, 2008, was prompted by the prevalent substance abuse in the slums of Chita Camp. Recognizing the challenges faced by addicts' families in aiding their recovery, the centre was established to address this pressing issue. Initially situated in Colaba, the work with street-based addicts garnered attention for its effectiveness, leading to the granting of premises by Don Bosco Provincial House in Lonavla. Over the past four years, the centre has facilitated the recovery of approximately 270 street-based drug/alcohol addicts, out of 690 admitted, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Balwadis, known as Jeevan Dhara in the project, are rural pre-primary schools equipped with various educational aids. Initiated in 1998, Jeevan Ankur stands as one of the pioneering balwadis in the Trombay area. These facilities provide educational materials, refreshments, and clothing to children. Additionally, benefactors regularly celebrate their children's birthdays with the young learners at these balwadis, fostering a sense of community and support for their education and well-being.
