Sounds of Silence (SOS) is a technology-based NGO with a mission to empower the hearing-impaired community, offering them a platform to interact with Read morethe world through mobile phones for text-based communication. It aims to create an inclusive society where hearing and speech-impaired individuals have equal opportunities to participate in all aspects of life. SOS provides training in various domains, including search engine optimization, email marketing, and data entry, making these students employable and helping them secure jobs with collaborating companies. Through its efforts, SOS strives to establish a non-voice contact centre to replace physical customer support systems and contribute to a greener environment while uplifting the lives of these special kids by giving them access to communication and employment opportunities.

The 100 Santas Project
The 100 Santas Project, initiated by Sounds of Silence, aims to spread happiness and bring joy to street kids in Mumbai during Christmas. With the support of hundreds of individuals, it distributes essentials and gifts to over 5,000 underprivileged children, making a positive impact on their lives and demonstrating the power of belief and collective effort in creating a better world. The project started small but grew exponentially, with 256 gifts initially and eventually reaching a target of distributing 10,000 gifts and goodies to the kids. It showcases the potential of one person's dream evolving into a significant movement, encouraging others to contribute to noble causes and be the reason for someone's happiness.

Vocational Training Programme
Sounds of Silence (SOS), offers vocational training to hearing-impaired students in domains like Search Engine Optimization, Email Marketing, and Data Entry. It has collaborated with small and mid-sized companies, enabling employment opportunities for over 50 hearing and speech-impaired individuals in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. Seeking further partnerships, SOS aims to provide more employment opportunities to trained and skilled hearing and speech-impaired students, moving towards becoming a non-voice centre and empowering the hearing-impaired community to contribute to society through digital solutions and green initiatives.
