Programs

  • Mobile 1000 Programme

The Mobile 1000 programme of the Wockhardt Foundation aims to address the lack of accessible primary healthcare in rural India by operating 1000 Mobile Health Clinics. These clinics are equipped with qualified doctors and essential medicines to offer comprehensive primary healthcare services, including awareness, diagnosis, cure, and referral. Currently, there are 211 Mobile 1000 Clinics operational across the country. The programme sets a target of serving 25,000 patients per year, per Clinic, thereby providing free healthcare services to a significant number of rural Indians.

  • Hunger Project

The Hunger Project, an initiative of Wockhardt Foundation, addresses the grave issue of hunger among the impoverished and orphaned population in Mumbai. Recognizing the severe consequences of poverty, the project aims to provide one nutritious meal per day to those suffering from hunger. This initiative becomes crucial as India ranks 107th out of 121 countries in the Global Hunger Index, with approximately 4500 children dying each day due to hunger and malnutrition. With a focus on reducing the hardships faced by the underprivileged, the Hunger Project has already served over 28,000 meals to beneficiaries from orphanages and slums in just six months.

  • Pronto Toilet Programme

The Pronto Toilet initiative, launched by Wockhardt Foundation, aligns with the mission of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', initiated by the Prime Minister of India. It focuses on addressing the hygiene and sanitation challenges faced by the population. Pronto Toilet recognizes that the lack of proper sanitation facilities goes beyond just a cleanliness issue. It directly impacts the health of individuals, especially children who fall ill due to the spread of germs from open defecation, leading to their absence from school and hindering their education. Moreover, many girls drop out of school due to the absence of adequate sanitation facilities. To address these challenges, Pronto Toilet undertakes the construction of individual sanitary latrines in schools and communities, contributing to the vision of a 'Clean India'. Additionally, the initiative aims to raise awareness among citizens about the crucial connection between sanitation and public health.

  • Gur+ Programme

Gur+, an initiative of Wockhardt Foundation, is dedicated to providing world-class, free hemodialysis services to poor patients suffering from renal failure in endemic areas. The programme's mission is to ensure that patients receive the best treatment and care at every Wockhardt dialysis centre, empowering them to live life to the fullest. Alongside delivering top-notch medical services, Gur+ aims to enhance patients' skills and confidence in managing their renal problems. The vision is to be at the forefront of medical professionals who offer unparalleled care and concern for the well-being of their patients. Hemodialysis services are provided to remove accumulated waste products and excess body water, maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance for all renal failure patients, without any cost burden on them.

  • E-Learning Programme

The E-Learning programme by Wockhardt Foundation is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence through innovative and high-quality teaching methods. Recognizing the need for improvement in education, the programme addresses the challenges faced by schools, such as limited teachers and low student performance. It offers a fun and interactive learning experience, with a curriculum aligned to state boards and presented in audio-visual formats in regional languages. The programme provides schools with the necessary hardware and software, along with on-site support and training for teachers. Wockhardt Foundation monitors the daily operation of E-Learning in schools, resulting in significant improvements in student performance and attendance. With the successful implementation in over 669 funded schools across multiple states, the programme has witnessed increased average SSC results and reduced dropout rates, reflecting its positive impact on education.
