Bhaorao Deoras Sewa Nyas was established under the guidance of Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee as its Founder President. Its main aim is to uplift these groups by building teams of committed workers and creating centres for social service. The Nyas encourages individuals from various fields, such as education, healthcare, and technology, to contribute to social welfare. It aims to establish institutions based on Indian culture and values while collaborating with organisations that share similar goals. Trained workers are motivated to operate in remote areas, including forests, hills, and deserts, to connect neglected communities with the national mainstream. The Nyas focuses on the overall development of disadvantaged groups through thoughtfully designed educational, healthcare, and cultural programmes.


Action

The Nyas conducts skill development training under the Samarth Bharat initiative, offering programs in sectors like electrical work, appliance repair, beauty services, and smartphone repair.

Impact

By 2023-24, 48 students have benefitted from the Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan Balika Prakalp initiative, which provides free education to underprivileged students.

  • Samarth Bharat

    The vision of Bhaorao Deoras Sewa Nyas (BDSN) is to empower socially and economically disadvantaged sections to become self-sufficient and live with dignity. Under the Samarth Bharat initiative, BDSN offers skill development training in sectors like electrical work, appliance repair, beauty services, smartphone repair, and more. These programmes aim to equip youth with skills for formal employment or entrepreneurial ventures, fostering self-reliance and breaking the cycle of poverty.

  • Education Programme

    Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas supports education for underprivileged students through scholarships and institutional initiatives. It provides financial aid to meritorious students from primary to postgraduate levels, ensuring continuous education despite financial challenges. Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan, inspired by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, focuses on holistic student development, fostering leadership, cultural values, and national commitment. Its Balika Prakalp offers residential education and coaching for competitive exams, helping talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue professional careers. The Nyas also funds institutions promoting Indian culture and values in education, contributing to societal development.

  • Healthcare Programmes

    Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas focuses on healthcare initiatives for underprivileged communities. It launched Swasthya Seva Prakalp in 1994 to provide medical assistance, organise free health camps, and support maternal and child care. The organisation actively participates in immunisation drives, blood donation camps, and disability aid programs. Deole Netra Chikitsalaya was established to offer eye care services, including cataract surgeries and affordable diagnostics, following the success of Netra-Kumbh in 2019. In Ayodhya, Ashok Singhal Netra Chikitsa Sansthan was set up in 2022 to provide eye tests and free spectacles for visiting devotees. The Nyas continues expanding its healthcare efforts, ensuring accessible medical services for vulnerable populations.

  • Akshay Seva Prakalp

    Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas launched Akshay Seva Prakalp to provide free meals to economically disadvantaged individuals near major hospitals. Initially planned for a few days, it expanded into a permanent initiative at AIIMS Delhi, Safdarjung Hospital, RML Hospital, and Lady Hardinge Hospital, benefitting around 2,000–2,500 people daily. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it ran multiple kitchens across Delhi NCR, distributing over 500,000 food packets and assisting homebound individuals. It also provided free oxygen cylinders, PPE kits, and medical supplies to healthcare and police personnel. The Nyas aims to expand food distribution efforts to more locations.

Milestones & Track Record

The trust has established Madhav Seva Ashram in Lucknow and Vishram Sadans at medical institutions in Lucknow, New Delhi, and Patna to support patients' caretakers.
