The WASH programs aim to ensure equitable access to enhanced water, sanitation, and hygiene, contributing to improved health outcomes. FINISH extends its support to marginalized rural and peri-urban communities by disseminating knowledge, raising awareness, and enabling access to financial resources for investments in better WASH systems. Through this holistic approach, FINISH has facilitated toilet access for over 1.2 million households across 12 Indian states, as part of a program backed by the Government of the Netherlands.
To strengthen grassroots engagement, FINISH collaborates with local microfinance institutions to offer credit for water and sanitation facilities. Implementation partners benefit from technological assistance, capacity-building initiatives, and the coordination of IEC activities to promote awareness and stimulate demand for safe sanitation solutions.

Improper solid waste management severely impacts human health and the environment. With India's population projected to reach 1.62 billion by 2050, urbanisation and changing consumption patterns will significantly increase waste generation. Tackling this issue requires practical, socially acceptable, and commercially viable solutions. By strengthening the informal sector, involving local governments, and promoting value chain recycling, FINISH Society works towards sustainable waste management, supporting the transition to a circular economy.
