Manav Utthan Samiti(MUS) addresses critical issues in India's agricultural sector. With around 80% of the population reliant on farming, the scarcity Read moreof resources has left many farmers struggling. This scarcity, combined with degraded land and inadequate irrigation, has led to dire circumstances for most farmers. Landless and small-scale farmers often resort to unorganised labour or migration to urban areas for additional income, while facing exploitation and challenges, especially among women from marginalized communities. Operating in an area plagued by various social challenges like superstitions, child marriage, untouchability, and illiteracy, MUS was established on August 30, 1999, under the guidance of Nanhoo Chauhan. The organisation strives to combat these multifaceted issues, including malnutrition, unemployment, lack of awareness, and the denial of basic rights, aiming to uplift and empower the community it serves.
