Project Unnati
Nari Sewa Samiti, in partnership with Bajaj Auto Ltd., launched Project Unnati in 2015 to empower women through employment-linked skill development. Since its second phase (2019-2023), the program has successfully trained 1,300 students in high-demand trades such as computer skills, beauty culture, fashion designing, and hand embroidery, even overcoming COVID-19 challenges.
The initiative has helped over 500 students secure jobs and 300 others start their businesses. The Computer Training Course is now affiliated with NASSCOM through Skill India, certifying it on the Skill India Portal.
Project Unnati continues to empower over 600 women and girls annually. The third phase, supported by Bajaj Auto, began on October 10th, 2023, aiming to train over 1,000 women/girls annually until September 30th, 2026.
