  • Programme to Strengthen and Promote FPO's

    In 2011, SES began conserving Kala Namak rice with Tata Trust's support. Over six years, SES collaborated with 300 small farmers. In 2020, Bodhisattva Agro Farmer Producer Company was established to empower small, marginalised, and landless farmers. The programme aims to enhance livelihoods through increased Kala Namak rice productivity and market access.
    This has resulted in improved income for 300 Kala Namak rice farmers.
    Successful branding and promotion of "Kalanamak" increased the FPO's visibility locally and statewide.
    The FPO identified 65 buyers and sold 50 quintals of Black Harvest in a year.

  • UDAAN - Programme to Empower Adolescent Girls

    In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the UDAAN programme, supported by Asia Initiative, empowers 1,500 adolescent girls aged 11 to 19 in 21 urban slums. Frauentpower oversees the establishment and operation of two Education Centers, while Kids Who Kode (KWK) conducts digital literacy classes. This initiative's primary goal is to deliver high-quality education, with a focus on digital and English literacy, as well as essential life and social-emotional skills. UDAAN's impact is substantial, resulting in increased job opportunities and 20-25% higher incomes for students, which, in turn, improve their families' living standards. The programme also empowers disadvantaged youth, equipping them to make informed decisions, and fostering community engagement through regular meetings and training. Notably, UDAAN effectively navigated challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and peer educators and mentors have enhanced public involvement through training on social issues and life skills.

This multifaceted approach is designed to promote self-awareness, the ability to express personal needs, self-management, and personal agency while also focusing on mental and social health awareness, confidence in school, and the overall value of education.

  • Healthy Glow Programme

    The objective of the Healthy GLOW programme is to give girls what they need to have the confidence to advocate for their health and wellness needs, and to make positive choices for their futures.

  • Tribal Development Programme(Wadi Project)

    With the backing of NABARD, SES is executing the Wadi project in the Pachpedwa block in collaboration with Asia Initiatives, benefiting a total population of 24,030. The region's tribal residents, predominantly cultivators and agricultural labourers living below the poverty line are the programme's focus. To uplift these tribal communities, the programme targets 450 and 50 families engaged in agriculture-based livelihoods and livestock. The primary objective is to establish replicable models for the integrated development of 500 Tharu tribal families through participatory approaches, emphasizing sustainable income-generating activities tailored to the area's potential and needs. The impact of the initiative includes increased income generation for 335 families, reduced migration, mitigation of soil erosion and fertilizer loss through land treatments, and improved agricultural production through climate-resilient practices and efficient water management.
