Social and Literacy Development Association is engaged in encouraging education, women empowerment, child development, welfare of minorities and welfa Read morere of disabled persons for overall well-being of the community. The organisation works towards structuring self help groups in rural areas for women to encourage them towards their own development and empowerment. Also, it has established schools, colleges, schools for specially abled, vocational training centres, skill development centres and non-formal educational centres. Through these educational interventions the organisation aims to create potential amongst the masses to explore various employment opportunities. Additionally, the organisation undertakes various agricultural and rural development based programmes such as water supply programmes, irrigation programmes, constructions of public places toilets, wells, ponds and houses and infrastructural initiatives such as construction of roads. Further, it has opened Arabic Madarsas and Urdu languages centres to promote Arabic and Urdu languages. In addition to this, It also organises awareness programmes which include seminars and conferences for sensitisation of issues related to environment protection, human values, women empowerment, social issues, health, hygiene and family welfare.
