Background & Emergence: Tarun Chetna Sansthan is a voluntary development organization established in 1993, with the prime objective to ameli Read moreorate standard of life of poorest communities, especially of marginalized women & children in Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh India. Pratapgarh comes among 100 most back-warded as well as poorest district of India as per identification of planning commission of India (NITI Aayog). Therefore, founder members of Tarun Chetna decided to begin charity at their home. Tarun Chetna was formed by a group of youths who were strongly influenced by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, who used to believe in equality and social justice. Tarun Chetna’s founder Mr. Mohd. Nasim Ansari is very spiritual since childhood & have had a passion for social work; therefore he remained in his parental village even though he had a better opportunity to go out of his village. Mr. Ansari & His two freedom fighter friends who were also agreed with him, initiated development activities so that people could access to better health and education, as well as livelihood. At present, Tarun Chetna expanded his work in 5 district ( Pratapgarh, Allahabad, Amethi, Sultanpur & Jaunpur) of Uttar Pradesh in India and established remarkable models regarding livelihood, health & education, by which thousands of families taking benefits from the interventions. Tarun Chetna also won national as well as international award for its effective implementation & for extra-ordinary performance.
Issue
Institutional aims • To promote the national integration and communal harmony in society. • To improved the social, cultural and scientific awareness in society. • To promote and working on national and social development program related health, education, family planning, literacy, environment protection and women empowerment etc. • To create child friendly environment children and provide each children opportunity to live holistic life. • To help and aware the poorest and B.P.L. families, so that they could rise on the occasion to live holistic life. • To promote, develop, research and disseminate the self-reliance and appropriate rural technology in the terms of safe environment. • To decrease social peculiar like dowry, drug edits superstition etc. • To promote and implement the cottage and villages industry, agro-based industry working area development. • To empower community to sustain project activities in a systematic manner, where they would participate a process of rural development. • To promote publishing undertaking of library, education centre, and IEC materials and research works. • To stabilize and implement the social development programmes as like Panchayat strengthen, Industry development, Agriculture development, Eliminate the Child labour, Consumer awareness, Water sanitation, Veterinary care, helping to disabled and old age home etc. • To organize training, meeting, seminar and all possible activities for rural development. • To received Indian and foreign institutional and individual grant / loan / donation in cash or kind for fulfill their organizational aim and objectives.
Action
Our programmatic interventions are especially focused on total development of women, children & adolescent’s health, education, livelihood and their empowerment and improvements in the quality of life of deprived women & Children, their families and their communities to insuring their right, meet their basic needs and to increase their ability to participate in their societies also. We sensitize, organize and empower the women from socially excluded communities in rural areas, and facilitate them for realizing their legal rights and entitlements and government’s health, education and poverty alleviation schemes.

Brief Acheaments of TARUN CHETNA-Pratapgarh • We formed 65 WFGs, in which 1562 women farmer ware collect-wised. • One Farmers Producer Company fromed with 647 shareholders anmd started their business. • 1548 male / female child ensured their care & Protection through Childline-1098. • 80 NariSangh were formed, in which 5465 women ware collect-wised. • 287 Adolescent girls Trained in Cutting Tailoring 07 seven villages of Patti block. • 216 women & 47 adolescent girls become literate. • 5708 pregnant women have got the benefits of nutrition by the efforts of project. • 981 adolescent and 105 children have got the benefits of nutrition. • Distributed the dry ration/ grocery support to 1500 women. • Distributed the sanitary napkins among 2800 women and girls. • We provided counseling to 2500 women & girl survivors of violence and COVID. • We successfully addressed 70 cases under POCSO Act. • We addressed 145 cases of sexual abuse and stopped 06 cases of child marriage. • We 5950 distributed Biscuits, GoMo and Cake among children. • We distributed 3435 Mask among the peoples during COVID epidemic. • We nominated several D/L committees by DM regarding Women & Child.

1. Establishing well-functioning eight learning centers equipped with library, sports equipment, music instruments and science and mathematics games, in four villages of Bahuta Gram Panchayat of Patti Block in Pratapgarh District.
2. Establishing and promoting 04 child collectives Bal sansad of the age group 6-14 and motivating them to regularly participate in reading, sports, drama, music, games, science and math activities at learning centers.
3. Awareness Generation among 500 children of the age group 6-14 on child rights, child marriage, child labour, child sexual abuse, child trafficking and motivate them to become monitoring & reporting agents to curb these social abuses through awareness campaign, drama/street paly and annual function..
