Programs

  • Early Intervention and Preschool Programme

    States

    West Bengal

This is a program designed for deaf young children. The development of language and communication abilities in a kid with hearing impairment is largely dependent on early identification, intervention, and adequate parental direction.

The foundation of this method is the employment of an amplifying device to enhance a deaf child's residual hearing. Youngster gains linguistic proficiency, improve oral communication skills, and strengthen their listening abilities through this program. The youngster is also exposed to literacy and numeracy over time. Preparing a deaf youngster for formal education and mainstream societal inclusion is the aim of this program.

  • Self Advocacy

    States

    West Bengal

The best kind of advocacy is self-advocacy, in which individuals are given the confidence to speak up for themselves and demand their rights. A few years ago, the young adults' self-advocacy group BONDHU was established.

A group of energetic young people called BONDHU feels that everyone should have the same access to human rights and should be able to live without hindrances. They envision a world in which everyone is accepted and deaf individuals are not subjected to discrimination.

They are becoming aware that they share everyone else's civil, political, and personal rights. Additionally, they are learning that self-advocacy is a way of life and that rights come with responsibilities.
