Programs

  • Empowerment of persons with Disabilities

    We work to increase public awareness of the causes, early detection, and intervention of childhood disabilities, as well as the various Acts and rights of Persons with Disabilities, in order to ensure that these individuals live happy, fulfilling lives. Bikash began offering its services to people with disabilities in the following ways: self-help group promotion, community-based rehabilitation, institutional education, skill development through training, and encouraging games and sports among disabled children. Individuals with multiple disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability (mental retardation), and hearing impairment are all eligible for services.

Milestones & Track Record

KBS received the 'Jugal Sreemal' Excellence Award for Child Welfare in 1998 conferred by Nehru Children's Museum, Kolkata, and the State Award for Best Women SHG of West Bengal.
