Founded with a mission to nurture each child into an independent, contributory member of society, SHIRC serves those facing conditions like cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and speech‑language impairments. SHIRC offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary services. These include specialized speech therapy for toddlers, physiotherapy, audiometry, health screenings, and diagnostic support through its regional center and mobile outreach clinics. The Institute also runs a day‑care service and online activity center, enabling participation from across the country. A core facet of SHIRC’s work is its emphasis on specialized education and psychosocial development. Parallel to this, their skill‑development initiatives facilitate income‑generation training to help families combat poverty.
